This Week in Games: Nov. 30 – Dec. 6
The new releases are definitely starting to wind down for the holiday’s – aside from a load of DS shovelware most platforms are pretty thin on new games. The biggest release this week comes from the multiplatform release of Prince of Persia. Their is also a multiplatform release of Tales of Despereaux in anticipation of the big holiday movie release. Other than that it is mostly minor releases and leftivers fromprevious weeks. It is interesting that the PSP again has no releases, and last week’s Mytran Wars has yet to appear at retail, making it 3 of 4 weeks with no new games. Check out the rest of the list!

As for last week’s games, the major DS releases Chrono Trigger is excellent, and Age of Empires: Mythologies is also quite solid, but most everything else struggled to rise above mediocrity. Oh, and Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods finally trickled in, but was accompanied by two patches and an apology from the publisher regarding quality … not a promising start!

Oh this week’s offerings, the only one I’ve had on my games-to-watch list is A Vampyre Story. It took quite a long time from its first notice to being released, and it turns out that it’s a part one of two, or so I’ve read.
But since I’m still plowing my way through Tales of Symphonia 2, I doubt that I’ll be picking up AVS very soon.
In fact, I really should just keep from picking up much of anything video-gaming-wize from now until after Christmas to prevent accidental duplication.

Is Mushroom Men any good?

So far the Wii (Mushroom Men) looks better than the DS, which is apparently crap.

I’m getting that Kingdom Hearts game and Prince of Persia. Other than that, Persona 4 (which I think is next week) is the only thing I’ve got on the budget for the rest of the year.

I wouldnt get kingdom hearts, i read the new one sucks. And why people think mickey mouse, keyblades, button mashing and every other annoying disney charecter is cool, i’ll never know.
