Riddle Me This, GamerDad – Katrina
Riddle me This, GamerDad is a new idea. It’s a way for me to answer the questions that aren’t right for WhatTheyPlay’s Ask GamerDad. So, fire away, tell me what you think. I promise I’ll print the bad ones too. To begin, I wanted to share a letter I’ve been avoiding. I got the email, wept a bit, showed it to Linda, and never looked again. Until today. What a perfect way to start this off – a question where the only answer is silence and appreciation. Indulge me . . .
Dear GamerDad,
I’m living in Nashville now, scrounging for work. Luckily I don’t have kids and I’m not married. Any attachments I would have had would have been swept away by Katrina. I just went and found drier land. I’m a gamer and man has that helped. I’ve got too much time to kill so I kill monsters. I’m a saxaphone player and I play Jazz (and now blues) and I wanted you to know that your website is the only daily routine that’s still “normal” to me. -KE
2003 September : I felt too humbled to print that at the time. Today it just felt right. Hope you’re ok KE and I hope that I’m still part of your routine.

Hey, that makes two saxophonists! And playing it really helps i found out today. Felt the angsty teen blues so i busted out the sax and found out i play a LOT better when I’m aggravated.
