Beatles Rock Band

beatles-rock-bandThere’s something (pun intended) about the way they move, but the Beatles have always attracted me like no other. In fact, the very first commercial recording I ever bought was THE LP (yeah, vinyl) of The Beatles mind-blowing Abbey Road. This memory, from when I was 9 or so, made me make a parenting decision I’m still very proud of. Instead of having my kids listen to that insipid children’s music crowding the playgroup – I spun the Beatles. The result?  I have a 9-year old and a 6-year old who listen to the Beatles frequently and will be able to sing the vocal tracks of the upcoming Beatles Rock Band without error. The game comes 9/9/09 and that same day new remastered recordings of each album, with extras, will be released. Will it be bigger than, well you know? Can’t wait! I just can’t –

Here’s a partial song list.  Actually it’s just missing one unannounced tune.  The game will feature A LOT of downloadable tunes for the purists, over time, and Rock Band has always done that extremely well. In my opinion, glaringly missing are:

EVERYTHING NOT LISTED HERE!

  • “Boys” / Cavern Club
  • “A Hard Day’s Night” / Ed Sullivan Theater
  • “I’m Looking Through You” / Shea Stadium
  • “If I Needed Someone” / Shea Stadium
  • “Ticket to Ride” / Shea Stadium
  • “Drive My Car” / Budokan
  • “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Getting Better” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Good Morning” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Hello, Goodbye” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Hey Bulldog” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Dear Prudence” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Helter Skelter” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Something” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Come Together” / Abbey Road Dreamscape
  • “Don’t Let Me Down” / Rooftop Concert
  • “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” / Rooftop Concert
  • “I Me Mine” / Rooftop Concert

  2. My dad and I love the game… but we don’t have it yet. Here in Latin America MTV is the strongest promotor with many videos of the game and epic songs ever! (sorry for my bad english)
