Okay, I gotta think that most of you guys are fans of the Where the Wild Things Are book (by Maurice Sendak). 10 sentences that wouldn’t really work if it wasn’t for the inspired artwork that seems to have captivated a few generations. When I heard a movie was coming, the only reason I didn’t get angry about such a stupid idea is that Spike Jonze was directing. Then I learned that one of my favorite singers – Karen O of the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs was doing the soundtrack and accompanying her would be a choir of untrained kids. I’ve heard the soundtrack, and its brilliant, but I just came across this little “making of” video (some tiny movie spoilers involved) showing Karen at work. Inspired stuff, folks.
