Game Review: Let’s Play Flight Attendant (DS)

Put your seats and tray tables in the upright position, stow your luggage in the seat compartment in front of you, and get ready to take off with Let’s Play Flight Attendant. It’s a DS game with airport themed touch screen mini-games for your DS.

Play as a young flight attendant in training. Each day you will perform a few job-related activities in the form of touch screen mini-games. Do well and you’ll earn more outfits to dress your character in.

In the mini-games, you’ll do more than just help your passengers. You’ll direct landing planes, sort luggage, check boarding passes, rescue travelers, and balance trays of food while walking down the aisle of the plane. You must be some kind of Super Flight Attendant!

Nothing really wrong with this game. Play control is decent. Some might get bored with the repetitive and simple tasks. While the title says “Let’s Play Flight Attendant,” the script in the game uses “Stewardess” a lot, and I imagine most people in that profession would much rather be called “flight attendant” instead.

Kid Factor:

Reading skill is a must as everything is text based. The mini-games get more difficult over time, so less experienced gamers may need help later on. Kids who like airports or want to work with planes when they grow up may like this game. Let’s Play Flight Attendant is rated E for Everyone.

  1. as a real flight attendant, i’m very offended by this game. and yes we hate being called stewardess.. especially since i’m a male flight attendant, stewardess is for women only.. but it’s still derogatory.. anyway, this is not the real life of a flight attendant. we are safety professionals. we are trained in medical, firefighting, self-defense and emergency evacuation procedures. we can save your life and still look doing it. we don’t handle luggage or boarding passes and it’s not hard to balance a tray. if the game developers wanted to make this more realistic, they should have the character sitting around in the airport waiting for flights most of the time and being discouraged every pay day when the amount of pay just doesn’t add up to the responsibilities of the job. oh and the player should be required to play the game for up to 16 hours a day, as that is our typical schedule. thanks, buh-bye 😉
