Victorious is a popular live action TV sitcom on Nickelodeon. It stars a group of teens as they attend a high school for the performing arts. Now young fans can feel like they’re on the show as they take acting lessons, dance and perform to music, sing, and even make their own music video with Victorious: Time to Shine for Xbox 360 Kinect.

The game is separated into various modes. First is acting. Your teacher will give you a prompt, and you must pose quickly and act like whatever he says. The faster you do it, the better your score, although it seems to have difficulty reading your movements sometimes.

Next is dancing and performing to music. Here you’ll have to follow the characters movements on screen as you dance or play a mock musical instrument like a guitar. It’s a little hard sometimes to know if you are doing the right moves, but luckily this portion of the game is very forgiving. After that, you’ll sing to music and the Kinect will read your voice. Finally, put all of what you’ve learned together to make your own music video! As you play, you’ll unlock new game modes and other goodies.

Kid Factor:

The game may be light on content and can have a hard time reading your movements occasionally, but fans of the TV show will probably get into this anyway. Characters look and sound like they do on TV, so it feels authentic. Reading skill is helpful for menu navigation as well. Victorious: Time to Shine is rated E for Everyone.
