Gravity Dash (iOS, Android, Windows Store)
Gravity Dash is yet another continuous runner on mobile devices (reviewed on iPad here), but this one has a twist. You can run on the ground, and on the ceilings to avoid obstacles. Jump by simply tapping on the screen, and hold down to jump higher. While during a jump, if you tap on the screen again, you’ll flip over and start running on the ceiling (or ground if you’re already upside down).
After you run for a while, you can get power-ups like an extra hit, and the difficulty will increase the longer you go. Collect gems to buy goodies in the store, like new outfits and skins for your boxy runner. Although it takes TONS of gems since they want you to spend money on those things instead. Such is life with these free-to-play games. Nothing wrong with this game, but it still didn’t hold my interest for too terribly long. The music is kind of cool, though.
Kid Factor:
You can run into spikes and sawblades which will make your pixel runner flash for a bit, but that’s about as violent as it gets. Reading skill is helpful, but not necessary just to play. Parental supervision is recommended for the in-game ads and purchases, though.
