Crocs, Climbers, and Carnivorous Plants, Oh My!

I got a new batch of amiibo figures recently.  These include two of the newly added characters to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as one returning from a previous game in the series.  So let’s take a look at them!

Here they are inside the boxes.  We’ve got King K. Rool, the Ice Climbers and a Piranha Plant.

And here they are outside the boxes.  King. K. Rool has textured scales but a shiny gold belly.  You may not can see it from the picture, but his cape has tears in places, too, so it’s very nicely detailed.  The neat thing about the Ice Climbers is that there is an icicle formation behind them so they can look like they are jumping.  It’s a nice touch and more creative than just using a clear bar like they usually tend to do with these figures to make them look like they’re in midair.  There’s not much to say about any hidden details on the Piranha Plant, but they do have two holes near the bottom of the pot for water to drain out of (don’t water the amiibo, though).  I will say the Mario universe has enough representation in Smash and I don’t think they needed to add such a minor character as a Piranha Plant, but that’s just my opinion.  At least all three of the amiibo figures look nice.

And that’s all for now!  Let me know what you think in the comments section!  –Cary
