I’ve written about ice cream and frozen yogurt places in the past doing promotions with video game characters and franchises.  Yogurtland themselves did a Mario promotion a few years ago.  Nekter Juice Bar did the same thing with other Nintendo characters more recently.  Heck, even Menchie’s frozen yogurt did a promotion with Dragon Quest Builders!  But now we get one with my most favorite video game character of all: Pac-Man!  So let’s chomp on the new flavors they have this summer!

When I reached the Yogurtland closest to where I live, you could see on the windows at the entrance what they had to offer.  Here’s the window ad for the Pineapple Power-Up sorbet.

And here’s the one for the Cherry Chomp sorbet.  It didn’t show up as well here because the sun was reflecting too much in the window.

The bottoms of the windows even had Pac-Man decals.

Inside you could see the ads on the menu boards better.  Here’s the one for the Pineapple Power Up.

Of course I had to try both flavors!  I brought my dad with me so he got the Cherry Chomp.  He put almonds on top of his.  I tried a bite of his, didn’t care for it much as I’m not a big fan of cherry flavors.  The other one on the left is the pineapple one I ate.  I put cherry shaped gummi treats on top to keep with the theme, but they didn’t taste as good so I just ate around them.  Supposedly they’re supposed to have Pac-Man shaped gummi toppings, too, but they didn’t have those at the location I went to.  I kind of doubt these are special flavors just for the Pac-Man promotion.  I bet they have pineapple and cherry flavors all year.

So the neat thing about Yogurtland is that sometimes during these promotions, they have special plastic spoons you can get with your order.  They did that when they did the Nintendo promo at least. And they did that here, too.  The guy behind the counter was really nice and let me have all three spoons as well as some extra Pac-Man cups to keep.  He got a good tip.  Here are the Pac-Man themed spoons with Pac-Man and Inky and Blinky ghost monsters.

I downloaded the Yogurtland app to see if there were any other promotions.  After downloading, I got a message about a new Pac-Man flavor you can have delivered to you at participating locations.  It just looked like the pineapple flavor with some extra toppings I wouldn’t eat anyway.  Not sure how they’d deliver frozen yogurt anyway.  But here’s the message I got.
