Mario Kart 8 Toys in McDonald’s Happy Meals

In November McDonald’s had Mario Kart 8 toys in their Happy Meals.  So I thought I’d show you what they had and which ones I got. So Let’s-A-Go!

Here is a bigger picture of the Happy Meal box.  Kind of nice they still use those same boxes with the M handles after all these years.

And here’s the other side of the box.

Here are the toys I got.  There’s Donkey Kong, Toad, Princess Peach, and Pink Gold Peach.  I’m glad I got Toad since he’s my favorite Mario character and the kart racer I always pick, ever since the first game.  They come in a box so I showed one of those, too.  They touted that Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach were special editions, but they’re just repaints of the regular ones.  The Pink Gold one is a really ugly color here.  They have different tires as well.  DK has big tires, Toad and Pink Gold Peach have regular ones, and Peach has the tires on the side like when they are in anti-gravity mode in Mario Kart 8.  Supposedly you can snap off the tires and switch them around, but I couldn’t figure out how to do that.

The back of the boxes showed all of the toys, so here’s a closer look at that.  Too bad I didn’t get Luigi or Bowser or any of the others really.  But it’s pretty hard to get ALL the Happy Meal toys in a series, especially popular ones like these.

And that’s all for now!  Later!  –Cary

  1. I go the pink gold Princess Peach one, which, I agree, is not very interesting. I really wanted Bowser or DK, but I’m not going to keep buying the happy meal hoping to get one.
