Paul Newman RIP

Paul Newman, actor/charitable businessman genius mogul passed away today at 83. A classic only gets better with age and that’s certainly true for this one. Not my favorite role of his (my favorite is him dressed as a Mexican Bandito from his tasty line of Salsas) but this is the one that will be missed in my home. Watch Cars again, it’s better than you remember, and Mr. Newman was one fancy racer for a grandpa car.

Thinking on it I really can’t imagine a better legacy or more complete life than this man led. To this family he means cookies, salsa, salad dressing and dog food – he means Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and a talking car.

He had that rare “women want to be with him, men want to be him” quality.
And you’re right – Cars is better than you remember, I was just watching it the other day.

I crushed on him and Steve McQueen majorly when I was growing up. Aside from the fact that he was a great actor, (and gorgeous) his devotion to his wife and family, later followed by his dedication to children, and his charitable causes, just made him even more appealing.
He seemed like one of the great ones.
