Mario Kart Fruit Snacks

MARIOKART1Now in grocery stores you can find Mario Kart Fruit Snacks! But don’t let the “NEW” label on the box fool you. These are actually the exact same fruit snacks I wrote about a few years ago, just with different packaging. But we’ll take a look at these anyway, just because that’s just how I am.

Here is a closer shot of the box. It’s just the same art from the game box, so nothing creative here.

Like I said, these are the same exact shapes from when they were just Super Mario fruit snacks. I took a picture of the top of the box so you could see them all. The actual fruit snacks don’t photograph as well. So you have Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, a Koopa Shell, Star, and Toad. They didn’t even bother putting them in karts or anything. And I hate how they call the Koopa Shell a Koopa Troopa even though it’s just a shell. But I guess that’s being nitpicky. At least Toad is still in there, he’s always been my favorite Mario character, mostly because I use him in the Kart titles. The snacks don’t taste very well to me either. I used to love fruit snacks as a kid, but not so much anymore. I don’t know if it’s an age thing or if they aren’t making them as good as they used to. I think it’s a little of both. Anyway, here is a picture of the top of the box.

MARIOKART2

The back of the box just had some generic ideas for playing outside, and since it wasn’t Nintendo related, I didn’t take a picture of it. They did change the pouches the snacks come in, though, at least. One has Mario on it and the other has Luigi. So here’s a picture of those:

And that’s it! Nothing new about these fruit snacks at all, but I guess it just shows you how popular Mario Kart is. I wish Kirby or Pac-Man would get their own fruit snacks, so long as they taste better than these! –Cary
