50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

501I don’t hate on Fiddy. I like that Ring Tone he came up with back in the day and I’m awed that a person can be made famous by being the victim of multiple shootings and not be considered incredibly stupid to get into a situation where being shot multiple times is possible. So, back from the Candy Shop everyone’s favorite Kennedy coin has made a sequel to that forgettable first game. So, here goes:

Go, go, go, go
Go, go, go fiddy
It’s your sequel
We gon’ kill & main like it’s yo sequel
We gon’ blow outcha brains  like it’s your sequel
And you know we don’t give a dang
It’s not a good sequel!

[Chorus] (2x)
You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub
Look I got the cheat-code if yo into playin’ God
I’m into guns and guys, I ain’t into making love
So come give me a hug  … and I’ll grab you by the neck and violently twist it and then slam your body through the way – and then shoot you.

Sorry kids. 50 cent’s game is a male pimp power fantasy. A gangsta video come to life. Plus mysogyny! I can imagine the kid who’d want this but I’d hate to hang out with him. Not because he plays violent games or listens to violent music – those are generally fine – it’s the shallowness.

50cent-blood-on-the-sandFiddy and G-Unit use a decent cover system and excellent brawler system to make a solid actioner. Action fans will admittedly adore it but the ridiculousness of the plot: 50 Cent and G-unit fight their way against terrorist in search of the Crystal Skull is kinda fun in itself. It’s as tasteless, pointless, and shallow as you’d expect. But at least the tunes are thumpin and that bottle’s still fulla Bub.

14+ for kids who listen to rap, watch violent movies, don’t disrespect women, and don’t really honestly believe that Fiddy, at this point, is just some rich guy with scarring.

17+ if you don’t want your kids listening to rap, watching violent movies and playing games like this.

  1. Hmmmm, did nobody read this or was the rap that embarrassing?

  2. I just read this and when I saw it I started laughing. I did because this is 50 cent, a rapper in Afghanistan or Iraq trying to find something stupid. Like who would really buy this game? If you did you must not really know much about rap or about a good game because this is definitely not a good game, yet I don’t know if it is fun or not. But I know I am not buying this
