LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Wii U, PS4, PS3, Vita, 3DS, Xbox One, 360, PC, iOS, Google Play)
A (not so) long time ago in a galaxy (not too) far, far away, LEGO Star Wars came out and pretty much launched the massively successful LEGO movie-based video game line. Now the series is returning to the franchise that started it all with LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, based on the newest film. Join Rey, BB-8 and the rest of the gang as they play out scenes from the movie in LEGO form, which also features some new gameplay modes and sidequests that flesh out the characters and storyline of the Star Wars universe. It’s available for practically every game playing device on the market right now, but reviewed on Wii U here.

Kingdom Hearts: Unchained x (iOS, Android)
Kingdom Hearts is one of the most popular game series for developer Square-Enix, and now the latest game in the lineup is a free-to-play title on iOS and Android devices (reviewed on iPad here). The games successfully merge Disney stars and worlds with famous Final Fantasy game characters in a fun and colorful action RPG. This new game is supposed to take place in the storyline before any of the others, although I really couldn’t tell. You’ll first design and create your very own Keyblade warrior’s look and outfit, and then send them off on a touchscreen adventure!
Cary’s Top Four Favorite Pixar Films (and Top Four Least Favorite Also)
Finding Dory was recently released in theaters, and it’s a sequel to Finding Nemo, which is one of my favorite Pixar films. So it got me to thinking about my other Pixar favorites, and also Pixar movies that I didn’t like as much. So I made a list of my top four favorite and least favorite Pixar films. Why four? No reason other than that it was harder to narrow it down to five. I had four distinct ones in each category but after that it wasn’t as clear. So I stuck with four for eac
Aliens vs. Pinball (PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox One, 360, iOS, PC)
In space, no one can hear you tilt. Zen Studios has a new pack of pinball tables for their Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2 games, and they’re based on the Aliens movie and video game franchises. You can download and play the new Aliens vs. Pinball pack on consoles that support Zen Studios pinball platforms (PS3 version reviewed here). When you download Pinball FX 2 or Zen Pinball 2 (depending on which game console you own), you’re just downloading the hub. It’s free, and then you purchase separate tables for play in the game. Here are the three tables in the Aliens vs. Pinball pack.

The Fighters of Pokken Tournament
Nintendo and Namco have worked together a lot in the past. Namco’s good at making arcade baseball games, so Nintendo had them do some Mario baseball titles. Namco’s Taiko drum music games were a hit in Japan, so Nintendo had them do Donkey Konga. And Namco also is known for racing and fighting games, so they helped Nintendo with the arcade Mario Karts and recent Smash Bros. games. So when Nintendo wanted to make a Pokémon fighting game, Namco was up to the task again, since they are known for fighters like Tekken. In fact, that’s why the Pokémon fighter is called Pokken, as a combination of Pokémon and Tekken. So I thought in this blog we’d take a quick look at the game and check out which Pokémon you can play as!
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers (PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox One, 360)
While there is already a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is based more on the movies. Rather than follow an original story that encompasses all of Marvel’s heroes, you’ll follow the plot of the two Avengers films (and even some flashbacks from the first Captain America flick). The game recreates a lot of the scenes in LEGO form, and plenty of voice samples from the movies are used. And of course they try and add as much LEGO humor as they can. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is available for all the current game consoles, but reviewed on PS3 here.
LEGO Dimensions Ghostbusters Level Pack
Ghostbusters is one of my all-time favorite movies. I watched the film and cartoon a lot as a kid, and drank copious amounts of Hi-C Ecto Cooler with Slimer on the juice box back then. So I was excited when LEGO Dimensions was going to feature characters and settings from Ghostbusters! LEGO Dimensions is essentially like Skylanders except the figures you get are made out of LEGOs that you must build. I even wrote a big article about LEGO Dimensions a while back that you can read if you want more information. This review is going to be about the Ghostbusters Level Pack that just came out for LEGO Dimensions.
Star Wars Pinball: The Force Awakens Pack (PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox One, 360, PC, iOS)
The newest movie in the Star Wars franchise came out recently, and it has been a big hit! And now you can play two themed pinball tables based on The Force Awakens. This new pinball pack is available for consoles that support Zen Studios’ pinball platforms (reviewed on PS3 here). Oh, and since people on the Internet are pretty sensitive about movie spoilers, especially when Star Wars is concerned, I’m just warning your right now that there may be some spoilers in this review. Sorry, but if it’s in the game, I have to talk about it!
