Recently, The LEGO Batman Movie came out in theaters, and it’s a blast! Not quite as good as the original LEGO Movie that it spun off from, but still a hoot and a half in its own right. Now you can relive the action and fun of that new flick with The LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack for LEGO Dimensions. It’s available for nearly all the current game consoles, but reviewed on Wii U here.
LEGO Dimensions Adventure Time Fun Pack (and Level Pack)

Adventure Time is one of the most popular animated series on Cartoon Network, and there have been tons of games based on the franchise and I’ve reviewed most of them! In fact, in the 20 plus years I’ve been reviewing games, out of all the licensed games I’ve reviewed, I’ve probably played more Adventure Time games than anything. I don’t even really watch the show, I just know a lot about it from playing all the games! And now they’re getting the blocky treatment in LEGO Dimensions. Cartoon Network Battle Crashers (3DS, PS4, Xbox One)

Uncle Grandpa accidentally shifts his RV into Dimension Break gear and ends up crashing through all sorts of Cartoon Network worlds. Now it’s up to him, Steven Universe, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, Gumball, Clarence, and Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show to fight enemies across all their universes in this arcade style action sidescrolling beat ‘em up. It’s available for 3DS, PS4, and Xbox One, but reviewed on 3DS here.
Pokémon Visual Companion: 2nd Edition (Book)

With the popularity of the mobile game Pokémon Go, recently released Pokémon Sun and Moon on the 3DS, and a new series of the anime cartoon soon to be airing on Disney XD, Pokémon is bigger than ever. So if you have a young fan of the Pokémon cartoon around the house, you may want to check out this nice hardcover book! It chronicles the adventures of Ash and his friends in the cartoon, as well as which Pokémon they’ve caught and battled, what gear they use, who they’ve met and where they’ve been.
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS)

Strange fissures have appeared in the Sonic Boom world, and while trying to seal them up, Sonic and Amy discover that the radiation from the fissures has affected their armband communicators, and now allows the team to have fire and ice attacks. Using their new abilities, Sonic and Co. must track down the source of the fissures (most likely Dr. Eggman), and save their world from strange weather anomalies in this 2-D platforming adventure based on the computer animated TV show.
LEGO Dimensions Mission Impossible Level Pack

The first Mission Impossible movie came out way back in 1996. I remember watching it, and it was a decent action flick, but it didn’t compel me to watch any of the sequels. Plus, even though the TV show it was based on was a little before my time, I seem to remember it focusing more on teamwork between the agents, while the movie was just “Tom Cruise Does Everything.” But the movie was certainly popular enough to spawn sequels. And now, your mission, if you choose to build it, is to check out the Mission Impossible Level Pack for LEGO Dimensions. LEGO Dimensions The A-Team Fun Pack

When I was a little kid, The A-Team was a very popular TV show. But I wasn’t really into it as I was more interested in shows like The Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider. One show had a cool orange car that jumped over ramps, and the other had a TALKING car! The A-Team just had a van with a red stripe. (yeah you know where my priorities were as a little boy) Plus, I feel ashamed to admit it, but as a little kid, I was kind of scared of Mr. T, who was the star of the show. But there’s no denying that The A-Team was super popular. Heck, even Mr. Bean slept on A-Team sheets in one of his comedy skits, and a few years ago they made a movie remake of The A-Team (I rented it once and feel asleep about an hour in, unfortunately). Mr. T was also popular in his own right, even getting his own Saturday morning cartoon and breakfast cereal back then (yes, really). And now you can relive the action of the TV show in LEGO form with The A-Team Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions. Girl Power is taking over pinball! A bevvy of Marvel’s superheroines have teamed up to bring you two new action packed pinball tables for play on Zen Studios’ pinball platforms: Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2. They’re available on nearly all current game consoles and computers, but reviewed on PS3 here.
George of the Jungle: Owie Owie (iOS, Android)

I’m a big fan of Jay Ward Studios, and I even used to know someone who worked there. So what is Jay Ward Studios? Well they made a pretty well-known cartoon called Rocky and Bullwinkle. They also did a lot of animated advertising, and created a pretty popular cereal character. You may not remember Quisp and Quake, but you might recall a certain seafaring gentleman known as Cap’n Crunch. Another cartoon they did back in the day was George of the Jungle. Despite having two dopey live action movies and a lousy animated remake, George still has one of the catchiest theme songs on TV. So when I read about a George of the Jungle free-to-play downloadable game on iOS and Android (reviewed on iPad here), I was mildly curious.
Disney Art Academy (3DS)

For nearly a century, Disney has been synonymous with artistic animation and cartoons, and now they’ve teamed up with Nintendo for a new Art Academy game. Nintendo has been teaching art lessons with their Art Academy franchise on multiple consoles, spanning the DS, 3DS, and even the Wii U. So it only seems natural for them to feature art lessons with Disney characters on the 3DS. I’ve wished that this series would get more recognition, and maybe now with the familiar Disney license, it might just do that.
